Croatia vs Morocco Live Stream: How to Watch World Cup 2022 Online from Anywhere Today, Team News

Croatia and Morocco would much rather play tomorrow than today. But now that they’re here they might as well give everything they’ve got. The third place play-off probably means the most to the Atlas Lions as a reminder of their best ever World Cup performance. However, with some members of the Golden Generation poised to turn their backs on international football for good, Croatia will also want to end on a positive note. Here’s how to watch a live stream between Croatia and Morocco in the 2022 World Cup third-place playoffs in Qatar today.

Ivan Perisic has been Croatia’s main attacking threat this tournament, but Zlatko Dalic decided to change that today by deploying him at left-back. Marcelo Brozovic dropped out of the starting lineup with a thigh touch-up picked up in mid-week, so Lovro Majer started alongside Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic in midfield.

Three of Morocco’s four first choice defenders are injured, including captain Romain Saiss, so Achraf Hakimi is joined by Jawad El Yamiq, Achraf Dari and Yahia Attiyat-Allah in an impromptu defence. Otherwise it’s like them, with Hakim Ziyech and Sofiane Boufal flanking Youssef En-Nesyri up front.

The third place play-off can be an underrated spectacle. Croatia and Morocco drew goalless at the start of the tournament but, with the pressure of the last three weeks largely eased, the teams involved in this fixture tend to play with a much greater sense of freedom than before and, as a result, in the over the years we have witnessed more than a few goalfests.

Croatia’s super pragmatic approach to Qatar means we didn’t get to see much from their star man, Modric, in what will surely be his last World Cup. Largely confined to a workhorse role throughout the tournament, the Real Madrid midfielder will be desperate to offer a reminder of his on-the-ball skills before he retires from international football.

Morocco have won countless admirers for the outrageous gestures, tricks and flourishes they used to turn defense into attack, and this game gives us the chance to see one of football’s most fascinating and insane tactics in action one last time . Even Sofyan Amrabat in full regalia never disappoints.
