Hyundai Ioniq 6, first spy photos of the semi-final model

When Hyundai created the prototype Prophecy, he did so with the idea of showing some design concepts, and a possible path for a future electric sedan. We now know that this project has become the Ioniq 6, which will be the second battery car of the new brand, which has just been presented with the Ioniq 5.

In recent days, images of one of the first semi-definitive specimens have appeared online, tested in the United States. The location should come as no surprise, given the popularity of the Korean house in America, and the appearance, still heavily disguised, is no surprise.

Even with the tips for not showing the final aesthetic, it is possible to notice some significant changes from the Prophecy. A video made by KindelAuto compares them:

The general line remains unchanged, with a coupe styling, vaguely reminiscent of Porsche cars, but Hyundai has decided to greatly simplify the complexity of construction, abandoning the doors with opening in the wind. In the pictures you can clearly see the pillar, the “B-pillar”, as well as the normal four-door configuration.

The car obviously based on the new E-GMP platform, modular and able to use a 800 volts, which will surely also be a key feature of the Ioniq 6. end of 2022. It will be followed by the Ioniq 7, an SUV, which will therefore come in 2024 to complete the coverage of the most demanded segments.
