THE new iPhones they’ll arrive later this year, with the lineup expected to include four devices. Unlike the current range there will be no iPhone 14 miniwhich will be replaced by a new version of Max.
More precisely, we will have iPhone 14Basic model 6.1″, iPhone 14 Maxwith 6.7″ panel, iPhone 14 Prohigh-end device with 6.1″ screen, and finally iPhone 14 Pro Maxwith a 6.7″ screen. Two 6.1″ models, in sum, and as many 6.7″ models, without the compact variant which did not have much success with the public.
The news comes from a memo written by Jeff Pu for Haitong International Securities (obtained by MacRumors), which also reads some of the new product specifications. At the rear, the two Pro models will be equipped with new photographic modules, including an updated main 48MP with wide-angle lens, while the ultra-wide angle and telephoto lens will traditionally adopt 12 MP sensors. In addition, the two most high-end models in the range will have 8 GB of RAM, which is 2 more than current iPhones.
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max news according to Jeff Pu: some credible, some not
These two innovations would confirm what analysts considered more reliable had already anticipated, such as Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, who in April had already mentioned the presence of a 48MP camera on the next iPhone. In the new note, for, Pu says all iPhones announced in 2021 will have 120Hz displaysthus belying analyst Ross Young’s previous statements that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will retain the 60 Hz panel, unlike the more expensive models in the range.
Jeff Pu has often anticipated supposed new Apple products on the way, but we feel we should point out that he hasn’t always been reliable in the past.
