PS5 and PS4: playing multiplayer will be free this weekend

Almost all flagship games for PS5 and PS4 requires a subscription PlayStation Plus to access the respective components multiplayer. This weekend, however, the usual requirement will be dropped and it will be possible to play multiplayer freely as the Sony PlayStation announcement on Twitter.

THE “Free Online Multiplayer Weekend” it will start at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, December 18 and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 19. Call of Duty: Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, GTA V, NBA 2K22 and FIFA 22 will be some of the titles that can be played in multiplayer and normally require the PlayStation Plus subscription. This, however, is not required for free titles such as Fortnite or for those who have a separate subscription like Final Fantasy XIII.

However, online play isn’t the only perk unlocked with PlayStation Plus. In fact, subscribers can also access three matches per month at no additional cost and enjoy 100 GB of cloud storage for their rescues. In addition, the PlayStation Plus subscription is free during these holiday seasons half price on PlayStation Store.
