Recharge with Be Charge, new features soon: reservation, end of recharging penalty and new rates. In addition, there is a Christmas promotion

The charging stations of To be in charge are increasingly present in Italy, often also in direct current version. Given this popularity, some smartphone app updates were needed to improve the service, and today Be Charge announced all the news.

In the request of android And iOS comes the mode column reservation. The user will be able to book a pick-up, with 30 minutes to reach it, no additional cost. There will also be discounts dedicated to those who invite a friend.

However, the conditions are not particularly strict: the client will have 60 minutes of time after charging is complete to move the car. To be in charge

From January 1, 2022, they will then arrive new rates, also linked to the need to differentiate costs according to the type of infrastructure, which is constantly changing. The new prices will be as follows:

  • Fast (AC up to 22 kW): 0.45 /kWh
  • Fast (DC up to 99 kW): 0.50 /kWh
  • Fast+ (DC up to 149 kW): 0.65 /kWh
  • Ultra fast (DC from 150 kW): 0.79 /kWh

The above rates are inclusive of all taxes. Be Charge also correctly specifies an important detail: any AC sockets present on the DC columns will have the cost of the column on which they are installed. For example, an AC socket on an ultra-fast column, while delivering less power, will still cost 0.79/kWh.

The latest news concerns a promotion for the Christmas holiday period. From December 16, 2021 to January 10, 2022 all fast columns will cost 0.40/kWh, while all DC columns, regardless of power, will cost 0.45/kWh including VAT.
