Twitch: Dr Disrespect ready to continue the platform

It looked like long soap opera between Dr Disrespect and Twitch due to his ban from the platform was over, but the streamer recently claimed to have all the information in hand to be able to proceed.

Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch in June 2020, and according to the popular content creator, no explanation was provided by the streaming platform. Since then, Dr Disrespect has found a home on YouTube but after the initial heated comments he never returned to the issue except on rare occasions, such as June 26 for the first anniversary of his ban. A few hours ago, however, he claimed to know the reason for his ban and for that reason he is preparing the necessary documents for take legal action against Twitch.

At the time of his ban, Dr Disrespect was one of Twitch’s top streamers, with over 23,000 subscribers. It also had an exorbitant average audience, almost similar to the number of its subscribers, which probably also led to a large number of donations. These are the words the streamer said live on YouTube when talking about Twitch: “I can’t talk about it, but a lot of people ask me ‘Do you know why?’. Yes, now I know the reason. I’ve known why for months now. And I’m telling you right now, champions: there’s a reason we’re chasing it. I don’t know how to put it another way. The amount of damage and – better not say anything … Nah, nah“.

Twitch is currently silent on the issue, as usual when it comes to banning a content creator of its platform. The only comment the company made on this subject in the past was “we have evidence that the streamer has acted in violation of our community guidelines or terms of service.“Essentially the reason for its ban will likely only be known if and when Dr Disrespect takes legal action against the platform.
